Rhinologic Surgery Or RhinoPlasty

A corrective rhinoplasty is a removal of
a hump, on the bridge of the nose to
give a more define and beautiful tip.

This procedure will narrow and shorten
the nose and reconstruct the tip. It is
considered an elective cosmetic
surgery. This procedure is done in
combination with septoplasty so that
their is only one anesthetic given and
recovery is lessened to one time.

Cases may be scheduled so that a
plastic surgeon performs the
rhinoplasty after the otolaryngologist
completes the septoplasty, but many
otolaryngologist are trained to do both.
Rhinoplasty Preperation and procedure

The patient will be prepped and positioned for the nasal
surgery. The rhinoplasty and nasal instruments are
sterilized and prepared for use.

Rhinoplasty can be perforned as an internal rhinoplasty
where all the incisions are done within the  nasal cavity.
This procedure can be done from the out side of the nose
but with the plastic development of today's new age we are
able to hide the scares and allow the patient to look as if
they never had the surgery performed.

This procedure will be done after the
Nasal septum is
prepared and the septoplasty is completed. The
septum
will be fixed to to allow a clear airway.
